Rachel walked out the door, bundled up in her favorite jacket. Although it was ugly, it still warmed her, and that's all that really mattered. She then heard a horrible thing; a mare screaming, obviously scared. Rachel ran over to the injured mare and crouched over. Another thing she noticed was the mare was unusually plump. Not thinking it was pregnant, she assumed it was a neighbor's horse, plump from being spoiled with treats. She jumped up again. "I can't do this alone!" she exclaimed. She watched Dylan and Bailey's house, but neither seemed to have stirred in the early morning air. "It's okay, girl, help is on it's way." She crouched down to the mare and stroked her mud-caked coat. But then, as she looked more closer, it couldn't have been just a plump mare. She was expecting a foal. She took out her phone, called 911, and told them her situation. They said a veteranary staff would be notified and they would be there within minutes. Only this mare looked like she wouldn't make it to even see a vet.

Rachel stroked the mare and the vet arrived moments later. The vet checked her over and helped to deliver the foal.
