Lucas grabbed Isobella's hand. "No, please. Don't go. I just ate...it was a deer. I'm safe now. I promise."

Isobella bit her lip. She nodded and sat down next to him.

Lucas sighed with relief. "I'm sorry from before... I wanted to be you friend....But it's hard being a vampire at the same time."

Lucas smiled. "No problem." He felt the tips of his now shrunken fangs.

Isobella bit her lip and looked at him, and then stared at the ground.

"Of you? A little...and the fact your a vampire? Alot," she admitted, looking at him.

"It's not odd, just......scary," she said, looking at him. Isobella sighed and stared at the ground.

"Yeah," Lucas agreed again. She looked over at Isobella and stood up, removing his palms away from his head. He walked over to a chair and sat down.

Isobella looked over at him. She stood and sat in the chair next to him,"So uh....how long to you need something else to uh...drink?" she asked carefully.

Lucas smirked. "Well, it depends." His smile faded. "Normally, around a few days. 1-3 days after I drink a large meal. That's because I can control my thirst. The newer vampires have 3 meals a day, just like a normal human. Except...it's blood, of course."

"I'll be fine for awhile. And, when I do need blood, my eyes will turn red. Just so you know when to avoid me." Lucas looked down, having nothing else to say.
